Machrihanish Beach

Machrihanish Beach is located in the village of Machrihanish, Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The main sandy beach runs north to Westport, giving opportunities for surfing. Essential accommodation is accessible for surfing squads in the Machrihanish village hall. Static caravans, wooden wigwams and camping areas can all be found at the Machrihanish Holiday Park. Machrihanish Dunes are a Site of Scientific Interest and is the widest sand dune area in Argyll. The dunes are a very gentle habitat, lightly damaged, so visitors are asked to follow the path between the car park and the beach and to walk on the beach itself.
