Pen Allt-mawr is a subsidiary peak of Waun Fach, located in the region of Powys, Wales. It is the 3rd highest peak in the Black Mountains in south-east of Wales. It stands close to the end of the westernmost of Waun Fach's south ridges. This summit is rocky and has a wide shelter cairn. Its highest peak, Pen Twyn Glas, lies to the north. It is oftenly climbed with its south neighbour, Pen Cerrig-calch, both offering great views north across to bigger summits of the Brecon Beacons. They offer a steep ascent, but once the height is gained, a nice and easy high-level walk across the plateau between the cairns appears.
