Poiny of Ayr Talacre Beach is a large sandy beach situated near the town of Prestatyn, in the Flintshire county, Wales. No lifeguard service is provided. Dogs are allowed, but care should be taken as this is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest and one of the last remaining refuges of the rare Natterjack Toad. Near the Talacre Beach a lighthouse can be observed which oftenly seems to float on the waves. It is a mysterious and a lovely optical illusion that drags tourists from all over the country. The lighthouse was built in 1776, but around 1820 it was destroyed by the sea and a more robust tower was constructed by the Trinity House.
