About Portmeirion Beach

Portmeirion Beach is a sandy beach located near the town of Porthmadog, Gwynedd, Wales. The village nearby overlooks the estuary of the River Dwyryd. A wide expanse of soft sand is revealed at low tide, backed by low wooded cliffs. Due to the soft sand it can be difficult to walk on. It is an excellent place for sunbathing, but the strong currents here aren't permissive for swimming. Dogs aren't permitted on site. The beach can be easily accessed through the village, with a fee entrance.
