Rescobie Loch is a post glacial loch, with a surface of 0.59 square km (146 acres), situated in the Parish of Rescobie, in the county of Angus, Scotland. It is supplied via Lunan Waters which enters from the west and exits to the east. Its maximum length is 2 km (1.25 miles), maximum width is 0.55 km (0.33 miles) and the maximum depth goes about 6 m (20 feet). It is thought to be the location of Rescobie Castle, also reported to as Barnsdale Castle, but no trace of the castle nowadays. It is stocked with hard fighting rainbow and brown trout.
