About Sheringham Beach

A stony, narrow or non-existent beach at high tide, but low tide reveals a sandy and rocky beach with plenty of rock pools to explore. A long promenade backs the beach with all the traditional seaside amusements expected. The beach is good for bathing - it has both won a Blue Flag award and is Marine Conservation Society Recommended. Surfing and other water sports are also popular. A major attraction of Sheringham is the authentic steam railway, the Poppy Line, connecting the town with Weybourne and Holt and run by North Norfolk Railway.
