About St John's in the Vale

St John's in the Vale is a glacial valley within the Lake District National Park, in Cumbria, England. A couple of farms and small settlements, in addition to a number of disused quarry and mining works lie within. It is surrounded by many of the most striking of the Lakeland fells. It runs from south to north, standing between the rocky sides of Clough Head and High Rigg and Low Rigg. On the western part stands St Johns in the Vale Church, between High Rigg, on the south, and Low Rigg, on the north.
