It's here, it's Queer. It's Birminghams only Pride History Tour. Step back in time with us, as we’ll tell you the story of how Birmingham’s Gay Village came to be. It’s a fabulous tale…but one of exclusion, acceptance and uncertainty. Starting in 1969, just 2 years after the decriminalisation of homosexuality, we’ll start at the original Nightingale Club Site. We’ll take you on a 5km walk (2 hours) or run (1.5 hours) through the most influential venues and moments from our cities LGBTQ+ scene. Drawing on Pride History from around the World, we specifically look at Birmingham’s journey to becoming one of the UK's most thriving scenes. We’ll also spin around Smithfield’s, home of Birmingham Pride, before finishing our story with a look ahead to a future of increased uncertainty for the survival of the village itself. You’ll leave not only with a sense of pride in our glorious gay village, but you’ll know what jugs, rhinos and foxes have got to do with it all!

Discover Birmingham’s past, present, and future on this two-hour walking tour starting at the Library of Birmingham. Explore canals, the city’s Georgian industrial pioneers, Victorian-era social and structural change, and today’s striking architecture. We reflect on the modern city’s diverse population and ongoing transformation. Tours are led by local experts including Jonathan Berg, author and photographer of Discovering Birmingham, and Michael Harrison, a specialist in 20th-century architecture. Each household receives a free copy of the book as a lasting memento. We also support Sifa Fireside, helping Birmingham’s homeless community.

The loss of St Marys Cathedral in the dissolution of the Monasteries and how that changed Coventry forever. The hour long trek starts with a training session on an undulating track to ensure you can safely ride and control a your quad bike. Our experienced instructors will judge the rider’s ability and confidence and teach safe riding techniques before leading the trek on a suitably challenging route over our huge trekking area. Your session includes: - One hour on the quad bikes made up of instruction and trekking time - Safety equipment provided (crash helmet and gloves) - Full tuition ## Equipment We use powerful and agile, quad bikes. These are very capable machines offering: - Automatic gears (no clutch to worry about - you just press a button!) - Great suspension - Comfortable riding position - High-grip off-road tyres - Highly manoeuvrable - We provide Logic ATV helmets and gloves to protect hands from passing undergrowth - We're open all year round regardless of weather - No previous experience required as full tuition is provided

We're the largest clay shooting ground in the Midlands and look after thousands of shooters every year. Highly experienced and qualified instructors looks after the participants (they're really nice people too!) No previous experience is required.

This is a one hour session where every participant has their own set of equipment throughout. There will be a maximum of 8 people taking part at a time (typically several smaller groups mixed together) and an experienced instructor will be with the group throughout. The session starts with lots of practice rounds (each round involves firing 3 arrows at the target) to ensure everyone is familiar with the equipment and techniques. The instructor will provide continuous coaching to ensure everyone is safe and is improving. A final 9 arrow competition will decide who the overall winner is. No previous experience is required making the session suitable for any level of ability from absolute novice upwards. The activity is located at a large, well equipped activity centre offering toilets, refreshments, car parking (free) and shelters incase of poor weather. All you need is clothing suitable for spending one hour outdoors.
