About Teignmouth Beaches (Town & Holcombe)

About Teignmouth Beaches (Town & Holcombe)

Teignmouth Town Beach is bustling, especially in peak season. It is long and sandy, running form the mouth of the Teign Estuary to Dawlish. There is a safe swimming area, separated off from water sports; as well as being boat trips to spot wildlife on the estuary, for dolphin watching or a spot of sea fishing. Holcombe beach is smaller and much quieter, lying in a cove at the base of the cliffs. It is Marine Conservation Society Recommended and is great for swimming, fishing and rock pooling, as well as spotting a variety of sea birds and maybe even dolphins.
