About Dawlish Warren Beach

This Blue Flag beach in Dawlish on the south coast of Devon is backed by sand dunes which form a world famous National Nature Reserve, important to bird watchers for the thousands of wildfowl and wading birds that winter here every year. The dunes and surrounding grassland provide a habitat for over 600 types of flowering plant.

The beach itself is one and a half miles long and is one of South Devon’s top family beaches. Surfing and swimming are available. The beach has won the Blue Flag award and is Marine Conservation Society Recommended.
