Godrevy Beach is huge and sandy, interspersed with a few rocks. It is a prime spot for families, surfers, walkers and nature watchers. Kite surfing and horse riding are also popular. Hayle Beach is actually three smaller beaches (Hayle Towans, Black Cliff and Mexico Towans), which join up at low tide to form a 5 km (3 mi) stretch of sand popular for sand yachts and kite buggies. The location, which includes the Hayle Estuary, is great for bird watching. Both beaches are Marine Conservation Society Recommended and rarely get crowded, even in high summer. The area of sea in front of the caravan park is particularly favoured by surfers.
