About Trevaunance Cove Beach

About Trevaunance Cove Beach

This Marine Conservation Society Recommended beach lies in a cove, sheltered from the winds somewhat by cliffs, rocks and the old harbour wall. The sand is completely covered at high tide, but at lower tides, plenty of rock pools and a small stream running across the beach are revealed, ideal for children to explore. The cove is also popular with surfers. Swimming is possible at certain times and within the designated area, but there are strong currents in the area so care should be taken, especially at lower tides. It's a steep, but short, walk from the two car parks. There are plenty of coastal cliff walks, too.
