About Viking Bay Beach

This sandy beach lies in a horseshoe shaped bay. Activities include sea swimming and there is also a tidal pool. A small harbour hosts working fishing boats, a fishing club and sailing club, as well as all the usual seaside entertainments. From April to October, a surf school with hire facilities is open for surfing and body boarding. The beach is accessible via a lift and there is a boardwalk and promenade on the cliff top for pleasant strolling. It is Marine Conservation Society Recommended and a Quality Coast Award winner.
