About Blackpool Beaches (North, Central & South)

About Blackpool Beaches (North, Central & South)

Blackpool is the quintessential seaside resort. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will probably not find it on Blackpool’s three main beaches. All three are sandy and good for swimming and bathing, but most people come for the attractions on the three piers and the promenade, which runs the length of the beaches.

Blackpool’s famous tower and funfairs are its major attractions, along with the illuminations which are lit each autumn. These beaches won the Seaside Award (formerly Quality Coast Award) in 2013.
