Braeriach is a mountain located in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Its height reaches 1296 metres (4252 feet) and is the 3rd highest mountain in Britain, after Ben Nevis and Ben Macdui. The most frequented route begins from Sugar Bowl car park, on the road leading the Cairn Gorm ski area. The mountain is surrounded in all sides by deep corries. The summit plateau is enclosed by rocky slopes and crags. The eastern side drops down to the Lairig Ghru but these tracks are best left for skilled scramblers. The northern drop is similarly craggy.
