About Bude - Summerleaze Beach

Summerleaze is a sandy beach, surrounded by sand dunes. At low tide, it joins up with neighbouring Crooklets Beach, but as it is north-west facing, it is more sheltered than Crooklets. This makes it very popular with families. There is a part-natural sea pool at the foot of the cliffs with clean, safe water for swimming. Other activities include surfing for all levels of ability; although surfers are advised to beware of the rocks at the north end of the beach. A breakwater provides shelter from the worst of the winds.
