Cairn Toul is located in the county of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It's a Munro with a height of 1291 metres (4236 feet) and is the 4th highest mountain in Scotland, exceeded only by Ben Nevis, Ben Macdui and Braeriach. The summit is in a very wild and distant position many climbers need an overnight trip to climb it. It is frequently climbed in conjunction with other summits, such as The Devil's Point, from the south, Braeriach and Sgor an Lochain Uaine, from the north. It can also be climbed from the west, beginning from Achlean, which offers a slighter shorter path, though it includes a wide area of undulating boggy plateau.
