Chapel Porth Beach is at St Agnes on Cornwall. It is a west-facing sandy beach with excellent water quality, as recommended by the Marine Conservation Society. It is owned and maintained by the National Trust. At low tide, the beach is huge and rock pools and caves are exposed for exploring. At high tide, the beach becomes much smaller and can be rather cramped. It forms part of a World Heritage Site and remnants of the area’s copper and tin mining past can be seen on the surrounding cliffs. Geocaching, belly boarding and walking in the wider area are also popular.
