Colwyn Bay is situated on the north side of Wales, between the sea and the Pwllycrochan Woods on the towering hillside, in Conwy county. It has plenty to offer whether looking for a short break or a longer holiday. The beaches in the area are being frequently improved and are aiming at obtaining the European Union Blue Flag status. They are already awarded with 3 miles of golden sand, great for sunbathing and beach games. The west side of it, named Rhos-on-Sea, includes a series of historic sites linked with St Trillo and Ednyfed Fychan. Both Colwyn Bay and Rhos-on-Sea offer shopping spots and are near to the popular Welsh Mountain Zoo, a couple of golf courses and some places to walk and climb.
