Kayaking and canoeing, surfing, bathing and swimming take place and there is zoning for watersports.

The area is famed for the quality of its crabs and children will enjoy rock pooling at low tide. The beach is also backed by low-lying cliffs which have paths for both walkers and cyclists to enjoy the views below.
