Dover Harbour Beach

This shingle beach in Dover Harbour is Marine Conservation Society Recommended and bustling with water sports: kayaking and sea canoeing, sailing and wind surfing equipment hire is available from the water sports centre. Channel swimmers often train from Swimmer’s Beach at the north east end of the harbour, but any swimmer is welcome! Fishing is permitted from the Prince of Wales Pier or the beach itself. For land-based activities, the Viking Cycle Route runs along the promenade and the seafront is part of the White Cliffs Countryside Project, which provides nature trails along the River Dover and the White Cliffs.
