About Draycote Water

Draycote Water is a reservoir and adjoining country park, owned and managed by Severn Trent Water. Its surface area is 2.43 km2 (0.9 mi2), making it Warwickshire’s largest expanse of water. The reservoir is a major attraction for sailing, wind surfing and power boating; and fishing for brown trout and rainbow trout takes place from either the shore or hired boats. Walking and cycling are also popular on an 8 km (5 mi) tarmac road running round the reservoir, suitable for all ages and abilities. Bird watchers can view common and rare species from a bird hide. A community of alpacas lives on a farm close by – three public footpaths allow visitors to view them.
