Backed by white chalk cliffs, Grenham Bay beach is secluded and often quiet as it has little in the way of sand. However, it is excellent for rock pooling. Sea fishing also takes place, this location being a popular second choice if other neighbouring bays are busy. A concrete platform, an anti-erosion measure, runs along the base of the cliffs and links this beach to neighbouring Minnis Bay and Epple Bay beaches. Dogs are permitted all year round. The Viking Coastal Trail and the Thanet Way - two long distance footpaths - run along the seafront.
