About Hareshaw Linn
Hareshaw Linn is a secluded waterfall located in Northumberland National Park in England. The waterfall, formed by the Hareshaw Burn, is situated near the village of Bellingham and is known for its surrounding ancient woodlands.
The area around the fall is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its rare ferns and lichen. More than 300 different types of mosses, liverworts and lichen can be found here. The woodland is habitat to many species, among which you can spot woodpeckers, redstarts, dippers, badgers and Daubenton’s bats.
You can get to Hareshaw Linn by car fallowing the A1, next take the A69 and A68 to Bellingham, then look for the Hareshaw Linn signposts. There is a free car park in Bellingham. The area of the waterfall is pet friendly. It is not an ideal place for swimming as the pool at the base is too shallow.
