About Loup of Fintry

Loup of Fintry is a 28.6m (94ft) waterfall on the River Endrick, around 3km (2mi) to the east of the village of Fintry, next to Gartcarron Bridge. Like many waterfalls, it is seen to best effect after prolonged rainfall or when the snows melt, as much of the flow from Endrick Water which forms the falls has been diverted into Carron Reservoir. The ribbon of water tumbles down the drop from a rocky ledge, forming one of Scotland’s most attractive falls. Fintry itself is close to Stirling.
