Putsborough beach covers nearly 5 km (3 mi) of white sand on the Atlantic and lies between Croyde and Woolacombe. It is a multi-award winning location for its cleanliness and beautiful scenery, making it excellent for swimming, surfing, wind surfing and sea canoeing. Sailing, fishing and snorkelling also take place here, with plenty of rock pools for the children to explore. It's highly popular with families and water sports enthusiasts alike; and access is good via steps with slopes available for the disabled and pushchairs. There are also plenty of local walks in the area.
