About Stob a' Choire Odhair

About Stob a' Choire Odhair

Stob a’Choire Odhair is a mountain standing near Bridge of Orchy in the Argyll and Bute region of Scotland. It reaches a height of 945 m (3,100 ft). It lies within the Black Mount deer forest and is often climbed along with its more impressive looking neighbour, Stob Ghabhar, to which it is linked via its western ridge.

This route usually begins at Victoria Bridge at the western end of Loch Tulla, from where there is a zig-zagging stalker’s path directly to the summit. Here, there are spectacular views over Rannoch Moor and the other Bridge of Orchy Munros.

The route onto, and ascent of, Stob Ghabhar is more challenging with extremely craggy terrain and an exposed section of ridgewalking.
