At Kingswood, there is a link to the Grand Union Canal – the Kingswood Branch, which is 0.4 km (0.25 mi long with one lock. The canal forms part of the Avon and Cotswolds Rings, the latter only fully possible when restoration of the Thames and Severn Canal and the Stroudwater Navigation is complete.
