About Tarrenhendre

Tarrenhendre is a summit in Snowdonia, in the county of Gwynedd, Wales. It is 634 m (2080 feet) high. The summit and its neighbour Tarren y Gesail lie to the south of Cadair Idris, and they form the bulk of the Taren subgroup. The subgroup rise from the south side of the Tal-y-llyn Lake and end at the Dyfi estuary. Tarrenhendre is boggy and heathery, with a small cairn to mark the highest point. It offers beautiful views across Cardigan Bay.
