About Tywyn Beach

Tywyn Beach is located in the seaside resort of Tywyn on the Cardigan Bay, in the county of Gwynedd, Wales. The village is known for the Cadfan Stone, a stone cross, and the home of Talyllyn Railway. It is a wide expanse of sand that stretches from north down to Dovey Estuary. It is a popular place for watersport enthusiasts, including surfers, as it picks up the westerly Atlantic swells. The waves are perfect just off high tide and towards the southern side of the beach. Dolphins can be spotted.
