Although Ben Klibreck is located in the central mountain region of Sutherland, it stands in relative isolation, towering above a wide expanse of moorland. Meall nan Con is its highest point which rises up to a height of 962 m (3,156 ft). This qualifies it as being the second most northerly Munro, after Ben Hope.
The usual route to the summit is from the A836 to the west, a craggy and boggy route with steep climbs, but the panoramic views of the northern wildernesses of Scotland are rewarding.
