The park features a 2.2 km (1.25 mi) trail with terrific views of the battlefield and surrounding countryside – there is an audio guide available for a self-guided tour. There is also a network of surfaced trails that radiate from the visitor centre for independent exploration.
The surrounding area is farmland and pathways connect to the Ashby Canal and Battlefield Railway at Shenton Station. The park hosts regular historic talks and interactive displays of falconry and other topics of interest.
