About Broadway Tower Country Park

About Broadway Tower Country Park

Broadway Tower is a folly on the edge of Fish Hill overlooking the country park of the same name, conceived by Capability Brown and built for Lady Coventry in 1798-99. Its base is 312 m (1,024 ft) above sea level and the tower stands to a height of 20 m (65 ft). It carries exhibitions over three floors and has a viewing platform from which you can see as many as 16 counties on a clear day.

The park itself is strewn with woods and wild flowers with grassy areas for picnicking. There is also a red deer enclosure and other wildlife. The park is also accessible via the Cotswold Way, a long distance footpath.
