Loch Tummel is a lake near Pitlochry in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The lake is about 11 kilometres (7 miles) long from east to west, and is just under 1 kilometre (0.6 miles) large. The surface around the River Tummel and Loch Tummel is recognised as Strathtummel and represents one of the most lovely sides of Perthshire's 'Big Tree Country', with changing shades all over the seasons and a brilliant pick of walks, round tracks and sites to relax. Placed high above Loch Tummel is the Queens View, one of the most popular sights in Scotland. To reach closer to the lake, a leisurely round along the calm, spectacular south shore road is worthwhile.
