About Porth Clais Beach

Porth Clais Beach is more a harbour than a beach, located near Haverfordwest town, Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is a sheltered harbour on the south-west side of the St Davids Peninsula where the River Alun enters the sea. There is sand at low tide but it is not a spectacular beach. To access the sandy side needs a walk down the harbour, which has a stream running down. In the past it was used as a landing and embarkation point.
