About Thrybergh Country Park

About Thrybergh Country Park

A former reservoir that provided drinking water to Doncaster, this became a country park and nature reserve in 1980. The path for walking round the lake is level and well-maintained, so suitable for all, including pushchairs and those with mobility problems. However, one side is closed annually from October to April to protect the nesting birds which over-winter here. Fishing is permitted in season, but cycling and swimming in the lake are not allowed. A campsite and caravan pitches adjoin the park for overnight stays and there is space for ball games and a small children’s playground.
