About Kennick Reservoir

This 50 acre reservoir is located on Dartmoor, near Bovey Tracey, in Devon. Access is largely reserved for anglers – fly fishing only – and the water is stocked with rainbow and wild brown trout. Fishing is available from the bank or by boat: boats are for hire, including one designed for disabled anglers, but it’s necessary to book this in advance to avoid disappointment. Day permits are available from the self-service kiosk on-site and local instructors run regular fly fishing taster and tuition sessions. There are plenty of delightful woodland walks in the surrounding area and if they wish, visitors can walk the perimeters of the neighbouring reservoirs of Tottiford and Trenchford.
