About Sango Bay Beach

Sango Bay Beach is a golden sandy beach with rocky formation near Durness, Highland, Scotland. Although it presents rocky outcrops, which is good for building sandcastles, it is also safe for swimming and surfing. A nice shaped cove, it offers panoramic views of the North Minch. This beach is one of the most amazing and varied beaches in the Highlands. It can be easily accessed from the parking area. In the eastern part of the beach the popular Smoo Cave can be found, the largest cave in Scotland, shaped by the sea and by a river. There are no closer facilities, but the village nearby will supply most things needed.
