About St. Cyrus Beach

St. Cyrus Beach is a sandy beach between Aberdeen and Dundee, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The remains of the Kaim of Mathers is located on rock peaks on the northern side of the beach. It is part of St. Cyrus National Nature Reserve, situated between the village of St. Cyrus and the North Sea. The dunes and cliffs give a nationally significant habitat for flowering plants and for insects. The beach is a beautiful place to spot birds and butterflies. During the summer season the reserve is awash with colour and life.
